A holiday address from Dr. Somogyi

23 Dec A holiday address from Dr. Somogyi

It’s hard to believe but 2019 is nearly over. This is a great time for reflection and so I’d like to share with you a few highlights from 2019 and our exciting plans for 2020!

As always, I find myself most reflective on how lucky I am to do what I do every day. I have the best patients one could ever wish for and an amazing team of talented, caring and fun office staff to help me look after them! I am truly fortunate. Thank you.

2019 at Somogyi Plastic Surgery

What an unbelievably exciting year of change! We started the year much like the last few years but with the feeling that this would be a year of growth for our practice. With the retirement of my great friend and mentor, Dr. Neu, came the opportunity to move our practice to North York to continue his legacy. It was a big decision and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Brown and everyone at Toronto Plastic Surgery for years of helping me look after my patients, but this was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.

Over the last 6 months at our new offices at Wynford Plastic Surgery, we’ve put together a physical space and an amazing team of individuals that has already proven its ability to provide top quality, comprehensive care to our patients. We’ve encouraged our admin staff, Melissa and MJ, to be thoughtful and caring while also being efficient and accurate – as such, we’ve been able to see more and more patients in a more timely fashion. Bringing on Milena, our Aesthetic Nurse Injector and Post-op Care Nurse, has given patients unique access to a wonderful resource for both surgical and non-surgical care. Finally, joining up with the talented Dr. Jalil as my associate allows me to have a constant resource to discuss complicated cases and ways to further improve patient care. For patients, having Dr. Jalil around means that a second opinion is just a door away and that someone is always around to answer questions or look after concerns if I’m away.

On a personal note, 2019 was a great year for our family. Ora, my unbelievable wife, has taken on a major role in running the practice from behind the scenes (and sometimes right up front) while she continues doing an incredible job looking after our family. Our kids have made hockey a big part of their lives and are showing amazing potential. Watching them on the ice multiple times a week has been one of my favorite activities over the last year! Ora and I had two amazing trips this year that we highly recommend to all of you – Amsterdam and Iceland. Two amazing places full of culture, adventure and great food!

2020 at Somogyi Plastic Surgery

This may just be one of the most exciting years yet! Having just brought in SkinBetter Science, we’re looking to spend much time and resources this year educating our patients about the incredible benefits of a great skin care routine. We’ll be matching these with a series of modern, high tech non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments – stay tuned!

We’ve built an excellent relationship with the Don Mills Surgical Centre, the state-of-the-art surgical facility right in our building, and we look forward to securing even more surgical dates in the new year to facilitate the busy schedules of our patients. Helping our patients make important surgical decisions has always been our priority. Our focus this year will also be helping to fit these decisions into busy lives and packed schedules.

Finally, the website! Patient education is so important to us. Stay tuned for some major updates in 2020.

Wishing our patients a Happy Holiday season!

This time of year is special for family and friends and for thinking about the future. I hope that all of you will find some time to unwind, share a meal or a glass of wine with friends and family! Think about the coming year and all its potential. I wish each and every one of you a happy holiday and a healthy and prosperous new year!

I am truly blessed that you were the one taking care of me throughout this most difficult year of my life! You made it much easier for me and my family and I am extremely thankful for your understanding and your professionalism!!!
When I was preparing for my journey of surgeries and challenges in February of this year, I felt lost…. and my daughter Katie said to me: “Mom, go for the best one!” and I found you! That was one of the most right choices I’ve made in my life! You, Dr.Ron and your lovely wife Ora are incredible! Loving, caring, understanding… And that’s exactly what we need when we have to deal with our health issues!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from my whole family for being there for me!
I am wishing you all the success that you deserve! I am wishing you and your family love, health, beautiful life and safe Holidays!!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Good of you to take the time to wish everyone a “Happy Holiday Season”. Like others I’m sure, I will be forever grateful for the fine work you undertook on my behalf a few years ago now. Best wishes for the future.
